Profession

Profession — a type of occupation or work that a person engages in regularly. It requires specific knowledge, skills, and abilities. A profession can vary: doctor, teacher, engineer, artist, etc. The choice of profession is usually determined by a person's interests, capabilities, and opportunities. A profession helps not only to earn a living but also to self-actualize, find one's place in society, and contribute to the common good.

Based on experience, professions are classified as follows:

• Beginner — up to 3 months
• Intern — from 3 months to 1 year
• Amateur — from 1 to 2 years
• Experienced — from 2 to 5 years
• Professional — from 5 to 10 years
• Expert — over 10 years

Undoubtedly, when seeking assistance, for example, from a mechanic or doctor, the specialist's experience plays a huge role in solving the issue, and sometimes even a critical one. However, in our case, there is no choice. About a dozen different people with varying professional skills want to survive and enter the bunker, so it is important to carefully select those who will be the most useful inside.

Professions can also have their own skills, both passive and active. Passive skills work by default and do not require explicit use, such as immunity to certain phobias or bonuses when entering the bunker. Active abilities must be used by saying "Stop the game."

Do not confuse the concepts of "use" and "steal" with "copy" and "duplicate" when applied to other survivors. In the first case, you use or take another’s ability, inventory, etc. In the latter, it does not affect other players' special abilities.

How to use a profession ability correctly so that the host does not get confused with follow-up questions to the cardholder about how to use it? Very simple! To use one of your profession, just say the magic phrase: “Stop the game! I, player with nickname ##, want to use a professional ability” and then explain how you want to use the card and on whom, if required. The host will carry this out unless someone stops the game with a card canceling the ability (the host does not need to ask players if they want to use such a card or if they have it). If you do not state your nickname, it will take the host time to figure out who is speaking. Respect the host!
